Best Fuel System Components for 2006-2013 Holden VE Commodore
The VE Commodore's LS2 and LS3 are thirsty under hard use. A fuel system that's fine on the street becomes the weak link the moment you start pushing power or running extended track sessions. Whether you're refreshing worn lines on a high-kilometre shell or building a dedicated circuit car, the components you choose need to handle sustained heat, vibration, and — depending on your setup — flow demands well beyond what the factory anticipated.
For most builds, the focus lands on quality braided line and AN fittings from established names like Proflow or Fragola. Proper heat resistance and secure, leak-free connections matter far more than saving a few dollars on fittings you'll never see until something goes wrong.
Running a Walbro 255lph or Bosch 044 high-flow in-tank pump? Pay close attention to return-line sizing and filter mount placement. The VE's fuel system layout leaves less room for improvisation than earlier Commodores — the packaging is tighter and there's less tolerance for a quick-and-dirty solution.
Line clamps and pump mounts might seem like afterthoughts. They're not. Vibration fatigue on a track car is real. Anything loosely secured in the engine bay is a fire risk — and it won't announce itself until you're flat out at Turn 2.
Buy to the spec of where the build is headed, not where it sits today.
