Tell BuildBot what
you’re building.
BuildBot is trained on the TrackTheory catalogue and Australian-market vehicle fitment data. Ask it about a specific part, or describe what you want the car to do — it’ll spec a list that fits, that’s in stock, and that respects whatever class rules you’re working under.
“Does this turbo fit my R32 GTS-T?”
BuildBot checks structured fitment data and confirms or refuses with the specific reason. Universal-fit items (fasteners, fittings, fluids) are flagged separately so you don’t buy a turbo and miss the AN fittings to plumb it in.
“400hp from my SR20DET — what do I need?”
BuildBot spec’s a costed parts list (turbo, fuel, cooling, supporting mods) sized to the goal, in priority order. Never recommends an unsafe combination — the air-side and fuel-side stay in proportion.

Common questions.
How does BuildBot decide what fits my car?
Every fitment claim is validated against TrackTheory's structured ProductFitment data — make, model range, years, and engine pattern. If a part has no confirmed fitment for your vehicle, BuildBot won't recommend it. Universal-fit items (AN fittings, hardware, fluids, sundries) are flagged separately.
Will BuildBot recommend parts that aren't in stock?
No. The catalogue search filters for stock > 0 before BuildBot sees it, so every recommendation in your build list ships from the warehouse this week.
Can BuildBot help with race-class compliance?
Yes — it knows the Motorsport Australia (CAMS) class rules and will flag if a recommendation is non-compliant for your declared class. Always verify against the current rule book before scrutineering.
Does BuildBot replace a workshop consultation?
No. It gets you 80% of the way to a parts list, faster. For tuning, install procedures, and one-off custom builds, talk to your workshop. We deliberately don't generate install instructions or tuning maps.
What BuildBot won’t do.
No tuning maps.
BuildBot recommends hardware. Mapping, fueling, and final tune is workshop territory — and we mean it.
No 'maybe fits' answers.
If fitment data isn't confirmed for your car, BuildBot says so — it doesn't guess. You get a clear yes/no, not a hedge.
No safety shortcuts.
Air-side, fuel-side, cooling, and brakes scale together. BuildBot won't recommend a turbo that out-flows your fuel system.
