Budget pads compromise bite consistency as temperatures climb — the H21 compound is engineered specifically for the heat cycles of circuit and sprint racing, where fade is a lap-time and safety issue. Genuine Project Mu construction means the friction material, backing plate, and shim tolerances are held to race standards. For a caliper at this level, the pad is not the place to cut corners.
Project Mu’s endurance answer, and the compound with the strongest reputation in oval racing — particularly short circuits. It gives up some outright friction to H20 in exchange for excellent fade resistance, strong modulation, long pad life and unusually low rotor wear. Used in GT, V8 Supercars, NASCAR and Trans Am, front or rear.
