Chromoly pushrods built to survive the valve train loads that kill mild steel.

Mild steel pushrods bend. Chromoly ones don't — at least not at the loads a performance engine actually sees. The heat treatment process hardens the material without making it brittle, so the pushrod maintains its geometry across a full race session rather than slowly telegraphing inaccurate lift to the rocker. At this price point, there's no argument for running anything softer.
