Why this part
Project Mu's Racing H16-03 compound is developed on circuit, not reverse-engineered from a street pad. Where budget alternatives fade under repeated hard stops, the H16-03 maintains consistent bite and pedal feel through a full session. For an RX8 used seriously on track, the compound choice at the rear matters — this is the one that holds up.
The compound
Project Mu H16-03.
A carbon-ceramic race compound built for GT, TCR, WRC, historic racing and time attack. Its character is high initial bite with a clean release, which lets you brake hard without locking a wheel, and Project Mu specify it for both front and rear axles. The trade-off is pad life: it wears faster than H20 or H21, so it costs more per race weekend.
