Why this part
Budget pads fade when caliper temps climb through a long session — the H16-03 compound is developed specifically for that operating range. Project Mu's Japanese manufacturing tolerances mean consistent bite force across the full pad life, not just the first few laps. For a caliper as capable as the PBR C4, the friction material should match it.
The compound
Project Mu H16-03.
A carbon-ceramic race compound built for GT, TCR, WRC, historic racing and time attack. Its character is high initial bite with a clean release, which lets you brake hard without locking a wheel, and Project Mu specify it for both front and rear axles. The trade-off is pad life: it wears faster than H20 or H21, so it costs more per race weekend.
