The W5 compound holds its friction coefficient through repeated hard stops — consistent braking markers, lap after lap. If you're watching the budget but still want genuine performance at club level, the W5 has the results to back it up.

WinmaX W5.
WinmaX call W5 their standard circuit model, and it is the compound most Australian club racing runs on. It asks for around 100°C before it is at its best, so it is a full-session race pad rather than a road one, and holds friction to 750°C. If you are choosing one compound for a club race weekend and nothing else is known, this is the sensible starting point.
